In 2019, the four of us Pisarros thought we might like to take a family vacation together while seeing an area of the U.S. that was new to us. We decided on Austin, Texas, because it’s half way between Nicholas on the West Coast \u00a0and Nick, Carla and me on the East Coast. My niece, Dawn, was able to join us there for what was a very happy getaway. \u00a0After that trip, we thought about where we might go \u00a0together the following year.<\/p>\n
Although Nick and I have been to the Grand Canyon, we were there on a hazy day, and we thought that seeing it would have been a much better experience on a clear day. Nicholas and Carla had never been there, so we decided that the Grand Canyon would be our next family vacation destination.<\/p>\n
Then Covid struck.<\/p>\n
In October 2023, the four of us thought that the time was right to fulfill our travel plan from 2019. Grand Canyon, here we come!<\/p>\n
