Then the four of us got together to plan our day. Would we go back to the WW II Museum <strong>or<\/strong> do a cemetery tour <strong>o<\/strong>r go to the zoo <strong>o<\/strong>r do a steamboat ride? The zoo won out, but first we&#8217;d have lunch. As we walked along, we were greeted by a very friendly cat whose collar said that his name was Daryl.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4108.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5104 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4108-300x195.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"146\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4108-300x195.jpg 300w, http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4108-768x500.jpg 768w, http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4108.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>At <em>Guy&#8217;s Po&#8217;Boys<\/em> we had\u2014what else\u2014Po&#8217;Boys. Carla and Nicholas shared a \u00a0fried shrimp po&#8217;boy, \u00a0and Nick <a href=\"http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4115.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5105 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4115-234x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4115-234x300.jpg 234w, http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4115-768x986.jpg 768w, http:\/\/pisarro.org\/aboutnick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ESE_4115.jpg 798w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 190px) 100vw, 190px\" \/><\/a>and I shared one that contained roast beef with gravy. Nicholas said that his po&#8217;boy was his favorite meal of the trip so far. \u00a0Then off to the Audubon Zoo, which \u00a0contains close to 2,000 species of animals from around the world. Our tour book has a photo of the zoo&#8217;s rare white tiger. However, the last white tiger there, called King Zulu, \u00a0met his demise in 2017. In fact, we were there until closing time. What would we do about dinner? Nick remembered that across the street from <em>Lula&#8217;s, <\/em>there was a Chinese\/Japanese \u00a0restaurant called <em>Hoshun<\/em><i>. <\/i>Carla and I enjoyed sushi, while Nicholas devoured one of his favorites, pork fried rice. As for Nick, there was duck with plum sauce on the menu. Whenever there is duck on a menu, Nick is likely to order it.
