Carla awoke saying that she had dreamed that our family had adopted a a child. She had gone to sleep thinking about Little House on the Prairie,<\/em> \u00a0in which the \u00a0Ingalls family had four children, and adopted three more.<\/p>\n

Rather than awakening Nicholas, the three of walked to the Silver Whistle<\/em>. Carla and I chose yogurt parfaits from the short menu, while Nick ordered grits with an egg in a jar, and we shared a blueberry muffin that tasted homemade. \u00a0We took a bacon and egg sandwich back to the Airbnb for Nicholas.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>We decided to explore City Park,<\/em> because it offers so much to enjoy in an outdoor setting. Nick loves gardens, so our \u00a0first \u00a0stop was the Botanical Garden, which covers ten acres and contains more than 2,000 varieties of plants from around the world. Roses were in bloom! We were amazed by the Giant Amazon Water Lilly<\/em> whose leaves were several feet across. They were so big, they didn’t look natural, but they were.\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>Then there’s a Sculpture Garden that features both classical and contemporary pieces. We were surprised to see a spider like the one we had seen at the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain. We learned that there are are at least six such sculptures in total, all in different countries.\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We stopped in for a snack at the art museum, but we didn’t have time to visit the museum itself because Carla had to prepare to attend the wedding or a colleague later that day. Eventually off she went, and the three of us decided to go to the restaurant where we had dined on the day we arrived, Deanie’s Sea Food Kitchen,<\/em> because it would be new for Nicholas. Nick ordered a large salad, Nicholas really enjoyed shrmp \u00a0and pasta, while I chose shrimp and grits, of course.<\/p>\n

Our TV had 5,000 channels. We saw parts of \u00a0The Magnificent Seven<\/em> and Terminator 2, Judgement Day<\/em>. Carla returned at about midnight, happy to talk about how much she enjoyed the wedding.<\/p>\n
