Nick and I are extremely grateful that our dear friends in Paris, Agnès and Jose-Maria, are safe, as are their friends and family. Today all of the citizens of Paris are our friends and family.

I was also thinking of your friends in Paris and am so glad they are safe, but thinking of the many heart-broken families.
Yes they are. It must be such a relief to hear your friends are safe! I lived through the IRA attacks in London, it is an unsettling, frightening time.
