
On Tuesday morning, I awoke early. As soon as Nick was awake, I suggested that we go out and find a bagel shop and bring back bagels for breakfast. The bagel shop was located in an indoor mall that offered a variety of things including a display of a piece of the Berlin Wall that went down in 1989. Montreal and Quebec City, Day 1 — September 28th, 2026
Our area had been experiencing a nor’easter that began on Saturday and continued though Sunday, with rain, gusty winds, and coastal flooding. We were concerned that our trip to Montreal on Monday morning could be impacted, because LaGuardia Airport is definitely on the coast. However, our Uber driver took the heavy rainfall in stride. Montreal and Quebec City, Day Zero
Our family trip of 2026 took us to Montreal and Quebec City. Nicholas suggested the destinations, because he had never been to either city. Carla had been to Montreal more than once, the first time on a Girl Scout trip when she was 13. Nick and I had been to both cities so long ago that we welcomed the opportunity to visit them again. We were away from September 28 through October 3. We will begin posting our blogs and photos very soon.
